The youngsters of Build on a Rock see it as their duty to look after those who are less privileged in this world. Nobody decides where they are born and Build on a Rock wants to help these people by setting up and supporting small scale projects.

The Build on a Rock Foundation is solely made up of volunteers and was founded by youngsters from the surrounding areas of Rotterdam. In 2003 a few of these youngsters worked on the ‘Venda Project’ of the Koningskerk in Rotterdam.

Inspired by the project, the volunteers went searching for a new project. Together they started the Build on a Rock foundation. The organisation has grown to about 25 volunteers.

The Build on a Rock Foundation was named after the solid Rock on which the organisation builds which is Jesus Christ. Because of His love we want to help less privileged people to build to a better future.
